I love making things for myself – this was such a project. It is made of 100% silk yarn, I knitted it then added the crochet edges to it. I’m really proud of it as it required a lot of patience from me – especially where the two colors intertwin. This image came out really funny – as if I had that big belly -maybe it is giving me a hint? Anyways, as you can see it was quite windy and the sun was shining at the same time so it was really difficult to shoot a good picture – and I was eager to share it to my subscribers so didn’t go out again to get a new one. If you would like to check out what I have on offer you can do it so here: Crochet For You
By the way I have a give away running and the price is $100. Want to be the lucky winner? All you have to do is click here and enter there for a chance to win 🙂
Now I am returning to my work in progress pieces – I have several actually – seems to be a habit of mine… I want to finish a crochet headband, a bra and the pair of earrings (one is ready – so just have to do the other one) this afternoon. Surely I also have a knitting project in progress which I do when I have to travel. I live in a big city and getting to places takes up time – why not use it efficiently?
As for this one…. well, it was supposed to be a woman’s summer hat I crocheted for myself from a pattern – well as you can see it turned out to be so small that it maybe can cover the top of my head… Have you already had a similar experience when following a pattern? So I re-purposed its function: I’ll have to make the last row and it will be a table coaster.
I have been really busy in the last couple of days to produce crochet products and set up a business on Etsy. I now have a handful of products listed, set up a facebook page and a twitter account as well. I also dedicated a pinterest board to crochet stuff. I never seem to get to the end of the “things to be done” list.
Have you ever had this experience?
I decided to showcase some of my things here as well – see them bellow:
I always loved handcraft, I started quite early at the age of 7 actually 🙂 There are periods in my life when I do a lot, and at other times nothings…
Recently I started crocheting again, and I realized that I have several unfinished projects both in knitting and crocheted stuff. So I kind of make a pact with myself at these times: OK, I can start the new project but I also finish one of the old ones.
So comes that now I knit and do crochet as well. I finished a pair of knitted socks recently and another is on the way, while I do crochet earrings and baby booties. As I can knit while I travel, I usually take my knitting with me and make use of the time spent on the underground, bus, etc – or sometimes even while watching a good movie at home. On the left zou can see one of the baby booties I made.
Now with crochet it is different. I have to pay attention to what I do 100%. So I do have to allocate time for crocheting only. On the other hand I love doing it! My friends love my stuff and so I recently opened a shop on Etsy as well.
You can see all my crocheted stuff by clicking on: Your Crochet World . I am in a creation mood, so more things are on the way 🙂 I already joined the Hungarian team – now this story is interesting for sure!
I was doing my medieval dress(more on this in another post) at my friends house as I don’t have a working sewing machine at the moment. She had visitors and we started talking. She explained a lot of things about selling on Etsy and said she can send me an invitation and if I register through that link I can get 40 free listings. As you can imagine I was sold 🙂
So this is the story of starting to sell my handmade products. Do you do any kind of handcraft? What do you enjoy about it? – You are welcome to leave a comment below!
“This is how I started looking for owl cushions: A few years ago the owl came to help me in my shamanic journeys with issues connected to home and family.“
Well, however that story started, there are some really cute owl cushions showcased in the article also catering for people living in the UK.
My favourite one is the Halloween owl from all but I also got some extraordinary ideas as to what I can use owl figures in the house for – decorations you wouldn’t have thought of!
See all those splendid ideas @ Owl cushions in and out of UK
On the left you can see some of the beauties I made with my bamboo knitting needles. Why bamboo? You can find it out by clicking here: Why I love my circular bamboo knitting needles kit.
Now I have to finish a skirt and pullover set that I didn’t finish last year. Only the sleeves are missing and then sewing and DONE! Can’t wait to wear this set.
I don’t know about you but I have knitting cycles – meaning that when I feel like it I do a lot, then drop it and don’t do anything for month. This is how I have 3 different projects to finish. As I am spiritual as well I’ll do this finishing business thinking about putting an end to some issues I face in my life. Thus, I will also have space for new things to arrive into my life. Everything is connected to everything – so let’s just make use of this concept.
I’m very practical you see. I always try everything out and see if it works in real life. If it does I will use it, if it doesn’t well it goes into the rubbish bin.

I don’t know about you but I like to bring in new ideas for Halloween each year. So I was really glad to find this article on Halloween that recommends an excellent book in my opinion: Extreme Halloween . What I love about it is that it not only shared pumpkin carving tips – an art in itself but also recipes and decorations, too. There is a video included as well with easy step by step instructions on how to make those treats. Check it out for yourself!

I don’t know about you but when I saw these Solitaire necklaces I just fell in love with them! Did you know there is rose gold as well? I surely didn’t!
Don’t get me wrong – I’m not that jewelry fan – actually I hardly ever buy any but if I do I don’t mind how much it costs – if I fall in love with one then I buy it. That’s how I bought my ruby necklace a couple of years ago and I’m still glad I did.
This Solitaire diamond necklace is on my list now. Can you guess which gold I’m going to chose – or rather say I already chose?
Did you say rose? – BINGO – I mean everybody has yellow gold necklaces, but very few have the rose one and very few have black diamond in their necklace 🙂
I can’t wait to save up enough money for this Solitaire necklace! Will surely let you know when I purchased one 🙂
If you would like to have a look at a bunch of wonderful solitaire necklaces click here. There’s plenty to choose from.
