I bought this qigong DVD because I had health issues and was programmed for an operation. Today we had such a great weather – unusual for the British isles actually, bright sunshine all day long. So I decided to go for a long walk to the nearby reservoir. I really enjoyed being alone in nature – which in a sense is not completely true as there were people fishing in the lake and met some others walking their dogs. But on the whole it was really quiet.
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE being in nature – it fills me up and in case I’m confused about something it calms me down, clears my mind and when I’m back home I can start anew.
Walking in nature is also a form of practicing qigong. It is called walking qigong and of course htere is a special way how you “have to do it”. I’m not sure everybody knows that I love organic homemade products. I rarely buy any products from shops any longer. I buildt my network of homemade stuff suppliers and I also love doing and experimenting. Today I show two recipes for homemade toothpaste here – I can tell you they work from my own experience! and the recipes are easy to follow and ready in 5 minutes 🙂 What can be better than that? The first one is the one in the image. And the recipe?

Today I’m going to make this as I bought some strawberries from local farmers – I know, I know they are delicious, but one strawberry used for whitening my teeth is acceptable for me 🙂
The other one: DIY toothpaste This image is from my homemade toothpaste from about 2 years ago. -Yes, I’m Hungarian – if you were wondering about the language on the label. I have since made several types but the basics is this recipe found here. Now you can make your own too in literally 2-5 minutes. They are extremely cheap to make but very effective and organic.
A couple of years ago my sister in law shared this recipe with me:
2 medium size carrots
Clean the vegetables, slice all the ingredients and put them into your juicer. You will get a healthy drink which is going to wash out your kidneys and provide you with the essential vitamins, flavonoids and minerals your body need.
If you want to go one extra step use a Vitamix blender and blend everything – in this way the fiber stays in as well which helps you clean your intestines and have a healthy digestive system. See how a dirty juice is made in it on this video here
Now that I tend to go towards row food eating, I love having simple recipes that are easy to do, healthy and nutritious at the same time. This tomato, avocado and corn salad fits into that category.
1 pint grape tomatoes
1 ripe avocado
1 can of sweet corn
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
HONEY LIME DRESSING
Juice of 1 lime 3 tbsp organic hemp seed oil (or any other cold pressed oil)
1 tbsp honey Sea salt and fresh cracked pepper, to taste
1 clove garlic,minced
Slice the tomatoes in half.
Dice the avocado and chop the parsley.
Add all the dressing ingredients in a small bowl and whisk to combine. Combine the sliced tomatoes, avocado, parsley, corn and honey lime dressing and mix gently so everything is evenly coated.
Let the salad sit for 10-15 minutes to let flavors mingle.
